BASED ON SIGNAL
TV
Signal Transmission Process
Image
Transmission
The
luminance and chroma of pixel transmitted in the original sender transforms
into corresponding electronic signal with certain order.
By signal
channel transmission, the receiving end will transform it into corresponding light-spot
of the same luminance and chroma, and restore it into image in TV.
Analog TV Signal Formats
|
Different countries(areas) use different analog TV
signal systems.
|
PAL(PAL D/K, PAL I, PAL B/G)625/50i
China, Vietnam: PAL D/K
Britain, HK: PAL I
Germany, Australia, Southeast Asia countries: PAL
B/G
|
NTSC 525/60i
America, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, etc.
|
SECAM 625/50i
France, Russia, Eastern Europe
|
Digital TV Standards
|
Different digital TV standards in the world:
|
Europe: DVB
According to the transmission medium:
•DVB-S (Satellite)
•DVB-C (Cable)
•DVB-T (Terrestrial)
|
America:
America, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, etc.
Broadcasting-Terrestrial Standard: ATSC
Satellite/cable adopts European standard: DVB-S/DVB-C
|
Japan:
Broadcasting-Terrestrial Standard: ISDB-T
Satellite/cable adopts European standard: DVB-S/DVB-C

Based on Principle
The Cathode
Ray Tube (CRT) is a vacuum tube containing an electron
gun (a source of electrons or electron emitter) and
a fluorescent screen used to view images.
RP (Rear
Projection) TV uses a projector to create a small image or video from a video
signal and magnify this image onto a view able screen.
The
projectors can be divided into LCD projector DLP projector and CRT projector.
A device
forming image by phosphor luminescence that injects mixed gas into two sheets
of ultra-thin glass and applies the
voltage on it.
LCD TV
LCD is short for liquid-crystal display. A low-power, flat-panel display used in many digital devices to display numbers or images. Liquid crystals (LCs) are matter in a state that has properties between those of conventional liquid and those of solid crystal.
It will
appear as transparent liquid state when being heated, and as turbid solid state
of crystalline particles when being cooled down.
LCDs do not
produce light of their own.
Instead, when electric current is passed through the material, the molecules of the "liquid crystal" twist so that they either reflect or transmit light from an external source.
