Adherence to law and effective enforcement are requisites to a developed and progressive society. To attain these precepts, a general law education and its corresponding practice must be widespread. Among State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Region III which offer Bachelor of Laws are Bulacan State University, Malolos City and Ramon Magsaysay Technological University, Iba Zambales, which are inaccessible to prospective law students in Tarlac province and adjacent provinces at Region III. It is for this reason that the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Tarlac Chapter in its resolution No. 02-2007 dated May 25, 2007 enforced the offering of the degree Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) at the Tarlac State University.

Bachelor of Laws (LL. B.)

The Bachelor of Laws is a four- year degree course that prepares and trains prospective lawyers with ethical and social responsibilities in delivering distributive justice for all.

The integrated Bar of the Philippines -Tarlac Chapter was responsible for the curriculum for the Bachelor of Laws consisting of 136 units. In compliance with the requirements of the basic education training in law.

Objectives:
  • To provide students via broad knowledge of law and its various fields and of legal institutions as a preparation for the practice of law
  • To familiarize students with the framework and processes of legal institutions in preparation for the practice of law
  • To produce lawyers with ethical responsibilities to the legal profession and with social responsiveness to the achievement of justice for all
  • To contribute to the promotion and advancement of the legal profession


Bachelor of Science in Criminology

Bachelor of Science in Criminology is a program that will provide the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement, and custody and rehabilitation of offenders, among others.

The College envisioned to produce graduates who have the knowledge and skills in addressing the problem of criminality in the country and the competence to meet the challenge of globalization in the field of criminology. 

Objectives
  • To foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability, transparency and responsibility while serving the fellowmen, community & the country;
  • To prepare and produce students competent in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection and correctional administration & public safety services; and
  • To equip students in conducting research and inquiry on the nature & elements of crime factors in the commission of crimes, breeding ground of criminals, causes & treatment or punishment of criminal behavior and how the pillars of criminal justice system respond to crime, criminals and victims.
