The new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 is almost the same with the later Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0.  But im not saying that Samsung has announce the same tablet from the beginning. However, it's really hard to deny that the new release Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 is the same from its predecessor at first glance. 

Well, take a closer look, the new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 comes with 7-inch screen WSGVA resolution (1024x600 pixels) and a dual core processor with internal clock speed of 1.2Ghz with 1gb RAM. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite  7.0  ships with Android 4.2 Jellybea. An internal memory 8GB storage media and a microSD card slot allow to expand memory.

However, unlike what we expected to be that this comes with higher mp on rear camera. And this is where things start to deviate a bit. The new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0  rear camera comes with 2mp instead of 3.15mp as the regular stuff and there is no front-facing camera. Also, the tablet comes a bit thinner at 9.7mm but is taller and wider by 5mm. It's  also a few grams heavier, despite the "Lite" name. The new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 should name new Galaxy Tab 3 heavy 7.0 

More importantly, the worst with new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0  it's battery capacity comes down to 3600mah, which is a phablet  territory. Samsung is promising up to 8hrs of video playback.

At least the connectivity seems intact - there's optional 3G(HSPA+, 21mbps down, 5.76mbs up), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0. There is also a GPS+GLONASS reciever.

The Android OS version on new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0  is getting a little old, should it be capable for an update to kitkat. But with new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0  you do  get dropbox  and Polaris Office, very satisfying.

Samsung's Press release makes no mention of price, which would be the real reason for the galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 to exist alongside the regular Tab 3 7.0". There's no mention of a launch date either, just that the tablet will be available globally in black and white.  I think these tablet is made for a head to head with Coby kyros tablet, Lenovo tablet, Asus, Hp, Polaroid, Devant tablet, and other cheap brand. Maybe new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0  price comes Php6,995.00.
