Ironing General Operation Manual
Place the iron on ironing board firmly. Then, plug the cord in the power outlet.
Set the temperature control knob to the required setting depending on the kind of fabric to be ironed. Note you should refer to the fabric instructions plate for the temperature required in ironing fabric.
For dry iron with Pilot Lamp Power Indicator, the lamp will light immediately before reaching the second point marked on knob plate. “The pilot lamp will go OFF after reaching the requires temperature.”
After ironing, set temperature control knob back to 0 position and let iron cool. Then, store in safe place.
Precaution during ironing operation
Unplug the unit when not in use specify if you are leaving the iron for few minutes or an hour.
Do not touch bottom surface of metal parts during ironing or immediately after use. Hot surface are present.
Keep the unit away the curtain and places exposed to water during ironing.
Do not attempt to repair or reconstruct the unit in case of trouble. Ask authorized service persons for repair.
Never allow power cord to be pressed by heavy object during or ironing board stand.
Do not store if the unit is still hot. Allow iron to cool first, before storing it in safe place to avoid burn or fire.
Do not plug the iron to an octopus or multi-plug outlet to prevent overload circuits.
Never adjust nor change the setting of temperature adjusting screw inside the unit. This may cause incorrect setting or failure for the unit to give sufficient heat in ironing the fabric and may damage the unit and harm to user.
Replacing power cord
Always remember to check power cord before using the iron. Because, damaged cord or plug will cause an electric shock or burn.
The following procedures are provided in replacing defective or worn out power cord.
First, make sure the unit is not connected to outlet before replacing power cord.
Second, remove back cover to body by turning back cover screw in counter clockwise direction.
Third, remove the defective power cord by removing two screws holding the power cord. Then replace power cord. Note, in replacing cords, user power cord with the following specifications, FT2-18AWG / 2C-2 meters with round terminal lug provided at both ends.
