Target Market

  • Primarily targets households who still have CRT TVs with poor signal receptions. As seen to their TVCs.
  • Households with no cable subscription.

Strengths

  • Launched by country’s biggest network, ABS CBN.
  • Endorsed by country’s one of the most popular celebrity, Ms.  Sarah Geronimo
  • Wide Brand and Product awareness activities which include TV commercials, newspaper write ups, billboards and web promotions.
  • Provides clearer signal reception for the TVs.
  • Exclusive channels include: ABS-CBN Sports + Action, DZMM Teleradyo, Cinemo!, Yey! and Knowledge Channel

Weaknesses

  • Clarity can only be appreciated for sizes 24” and below. It fits to their target TVs which are the CRT TVs ( still depends on the area).
  • When product is tried for 32” and above, the picture quality is somehow stretch and details like text are no longer clear.
  • Since the digital box is using the AV cables, the maximum resolution that it can give is  480i or 576i resolution at the most.
  • Can be availed at a one time payment of  Php 2,500.
  • Other FREE TV channels are not available in the channel list. You need to go back to your analog signal to access these channels (depending on the location).
  • Even though it has USB port on its front panel, TV plus is not capable of recording the shows that you are watching. USB port is intended for the future updates of the box
  • Additional Power Consumption 8 hours a day X 12 watts X 30 days = 2,880 watts /month
